MENSAKROM COMMUNITY LIBRARY (BOAFO PROJECT 2010)

The Mensakrom Community Library Project is a collaborative effort  between the chief and people of Mensakrom and The Kunke Foundation. Mensakrom is a small town located in the Central Region of Ghana. The town has about 6000 people with three schools each having a primary and junior high curriculum.

THE BOAFO PROJECT 2009

This year we had The Boafo Project 09. The foundation through its page on the social website Facebook raised funds to purchase learning aid for Amanful Methodist KG. The donation - the second by the Foundation, is part of our effort to assist children, especially in Mensakrom attain higher education.

READ 1 READ ALL

To help raise the interest of the village child in reading, The Kunke Foundation in collaboration with The Young Writers Ghana will organise “Read One Read All”. A reading and spelling competition amongst the schools in Mensakrom, Mansofo, Kunkum and Nyakrom.

THE BOAFO PROJECT 2006

The Boafo Project™ is a series of projects that The Kunke Foundation® undertakes annually. Basically, each of these projects has a different theme and a set of objectives. In 2006 the first Boafo Project™ was undertaken with the primary goal of soliciting for used clothing from schools in Accra and distributing it to deprived and needy children in Mensakrom and Mansofo. The foundation started its’ quest by writing over fifteen letters to schools and two religious organizations in Accra.
